Hey everyone and happy Mother’s Day! The semester is coming to an end and although I am sad, I am so beyond ready for Summer! This will be my final post for the semester and I’m pretty bummed. I really enjoyed getting to share my music with everyone. However, I did make the Summer 2020 playlist so that I can leave you guys with a few extra jams. I am so grateful for this experience and for the chance to get to write little posts about what I love the most: music. I am going to share some statistics with you guys. The week of May 4 was my most popular week which is so exciting. I got 9 visitors and 11 views. My most popular post was my Welcome In post. Most likely because I was just getting started and viewers wanted to see what it was all about. That’s surprising to me that it was my most popular but I am totally okay with that. If I could improve anything about my site it would be to try and reach out to more viewers. I need to start sharing my blog on all forms of social media and asking friends to share it also. The best experience of this project was . just simply being able to write about music for the public. I feel that this experience will benefit me vasty in the future just by giving me the experience to know how a blog works. It will be good in the future to be able to say that I have experience in wordpress. Anyways, since it is my final post, I had to pick a song that really meant a lot to me. Therefore, the song I chose to talk about today is Sound and Vision by David Bowie.
David Bowie is a legend in so many ways. He was undoubtedly one of the most influential artists of all time. Bowie is one of my all time favorite artists. I love him so much that I even wrote my speech for Communications about him last semester. He was never afraid to be different, and his music proved that. Sound and Vision is a song off of David Bowie’s album Low released in 1977. It’s a tune that you will want to listen to.
Sound and Vision has a long intro of groovy guitar and drums. When Bowie starts into his lyrics, you hear his insanely unique voice. His voice intrigues anyone who hears it and he truly does not sound like anyone else. It is a funky song with cool lyrics that always gets me ready to have a good day. The instrumental tune behind the lyrics is so good alone that I could listen to it without words. Out of all of Bowie’s legendary songs, this one is by far my favorite. Sound and Vision is not as well known as some of his bigger hits, but it stands out against the rest in it’s melody alone. This song is featured in the movie Beautiful Boy featuring Steve Carrell and Timothee Chalamet. Once again, this is one of the many songs on my super bright and fun Summer 2020 playlist that I am going to link below. I will also link the song. Thank you guys so much for reading my posts, I am so appreciative. I encourage you all to take this quarantine and summer season to expand your music taste and find songs that make you feel something.
I hope you all have the BEST summer ever.
