Billboards post about Imagination by Foster the People

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s a super pretty and sunny day in my home town. I am planning on listening to a lot of music outside in the sunshine today, so I figured it would be the perfect time to share another tune with you guys. I’m getting ready to go back to my apartment Monday in San Marcos and I am getting super excited to be home. The music that I am sharing today reflects that. This song is one of the many songs on my Summer 2020 playlist that I will be posting in my next and final post so stay tuned if you want a playlist that puts you in the perfect summer mindset. The name of this song is Imagination by one of my favorite bands since I was in middle school, Foster the People.

Foster the People have been around since 2009 and have many songs that are pretty popular, especially if you are into the Indie Rock/ Indie Pop genre. They formed right out of Los Angeles, California. The lead vocalists name is Mark Foster, which shows where they developed their name from. I remember being in sixth grade and my aunt that lived in Austin used to send me music that she was really into at the time. This is how I first got introduced into Indie music, which would end up being my favorite genre from then on. Foster the People have songs that are appealing to people of any music taste. They have funky, upbeat songs, as well as slower, vibey songs. I have kept up with this band throughout the years, loving songs with each album they release. I first heard Imagination around February of this year. Like always, there was not even a question of whether or not I enjoyed it. I loved it.

Imagination was a single released in June of 2019. The voice of Mike Foster is so unique and intriguing. I honestly could not say enough good things about this song. It has came to be one of my favorite songs at the time. In this song, you can clearly hear the elements of the bass, the drum, and the electric guitar. I love, love, love when I can hear all of the individual instruments in music as opposed to it not being distinct. The lyrics are clear with meaning and it’s an overall trippy song that puts you in such a cool and happy mood. I definitely think you guys should give this song a listen. Most of you probably know of Foster the People from Pumped Up Kicks. If you were ever into that song, I HIGHLY suggest looking into their other music because it definitely does not disappoint. I’m going to link the song Imagination, as well as an article by Billboard that talks about the song. Hope you guys have a great day!
