Hello everyone and happy Thursday! We’re almost to Friday and you know what that means: THE WEEKEND! It has been a little while since I have posted and I am pumped to get back to sharing music with you guys. Due to the days and days of quarantine we’ve all been going through, I have had plenty of time to explore some new music just in time for summer. Actually, I am planning on creating a whole new playlist filled with all kinds of fun summer jams, so stay tuned because I will be uploading it later this week. One of the many new songs I’ve discovered in boredom is the song that I will be showing to you guys in this post. The name of the song is Too Young to Burn by Sonny and the Sunsets.
Sonny and the Sunsets is a band out of San Francisco, California. They make music that people could compare to the sounds of The Beach Boys. Their songs sound very vintage but the band actually got started in 2007. You can find their songs in numerous movies including the new Netflix film, All the Bright Places. I was actually watching this movie the first time I heard it. I automatically assumed that it was a classic that I had just never heard before. Naturally, being the music lover I am, I immediately searched up the lyrics and found the name of the song and the artist.
Too Young to Burn is such a cool and funky song that you just wanna groove to on a road trip or while you’re enjoying the sunshine. It’s a super mellow song but it also manages to lighten my day a little bit every time I hear it. Since discovering the song, I have played it around both of my parents, and my boyfriend and they have all commented on how much they enjoyed it. All hearing it for the first time separately, they individually couldn’t help but dance a little when I played it for them. It’s just one of those songs. If you are in need of a mood booster, I highly recommend checking this song out. I honestly have not been able to go a day without playing it since I’ve found it. Also, if you like Sonny and the Sunsets sound, look into some of their other music. They aren’t super well known and it’s always cool to support artists on their come up. I’m going to link the song and Sonny and the Sunsets website below so you guys should definitely give them a shot!
