Welcome back everyone! Today’s post is a little different than the normal song review type. Today I will be reviewing another music blog. When I went onto google and looked up “best music blogs of 2020”, tons and tons of awesome options came up. I spent probably an hour and a half just reading through the descriptions of each blog. I came across TheWonderWhy, and I automatically knew that this was the blog I wanted to look more into.
TheWonderWhy is a music blog and vlog that focuses in on the lyrics of songs. They interview people, bands, and artists to teach the reader about as much as they can. It gives you a view of the song from the artists actual perspective. This intrigued me because I have always been one to pay extreme attention to the lyrics and deeper meaning of words. I appreciate this blog because it makes me want to dive deeper into the depth of music. It really allows you to learn so much more about the artist and what emotions they are trying to portray. It makes the reader have a deeper appreciation for not only the song but for everything that goes into it as well.
TheWonderWhy is also super cool to me because it highlights music that is not necessarily well known. It is doing what I ultimately want to do with my blog: introduce people to music out of their “comfort zone.” It also does not just showcase one certain type of music, it has a variety. It honestly inspired me to dig deeper into my blog. I want to find meaning behind why artists are the way they are. This blog inspires me to target not only people who have a strong appreciation for music but also people who want to dive into the world of music.
